Joel Augé Wins Covenant Award

MOBILE, Alabama (October 28, 2008) - - Integrity Music worship artist and songwriter Joel Augé recently won a Covenant Award for Folk/Roots Song of the Year for the title song from his solo debut CD, On The Blue.

The Covenant Awards are presented annually by the Gospel Music Association of Canada to honor outstanding Canadian Christian musicians, songwriters and producers.

Augé, an Ontario resident, serves as a worship leader for The Meeting House family of churches. And, while On The Blue marks his first "solo" effort, he has been performing and recording since 1999 with the bands Capstone, Six Days and Hewit, whose music has been featured on Canadian National Network television, Lifetime Television, The Hallmark Channel and ABC.

The critically-acclaimed On The Blue (http://www.myspace.com/joelauge) offers 12 vertically-inspired songs about life, faith and love delivered on a pop/folk canvas with the able help of producer Stephen Leiweke, known for his work with American Idol finalist Chris Sligh.

Augé has been sharing his music with US audiences since the spring with appearances at major festivals and seminars as well as a West Coast tour with Integrity label mate Lincoln Brewster.
